FAQ

  • Are you open for commissions?

Check the top of this website for my commissions status.

I also always announce my commission openings on my social media accounts. Alternatively, you can click here to be notified via email whenever I open for commissions or have a new premade for sale!

  • What types of commission are you open for?

You can find a list of commission types that I’m currently open for by clicking here!

  • Do I need to provide a reference sheet to commission you?

Yes, you will need to provide a visual character reference when commissioning me.

This can be in the form of a full reference sheet (preferred), a piece of artwork of your character, or even a simple drawing/doodle if you don’t have either of the above. If you don’t have any reference of your character, there are many free lineart bases that you can use to make one (here is a post with many links to free ref sheet bases for lots of different species)!

  • What is a 'duct-tape dummy', and do I need to provide one?

A DTD (or 'Duct-Tape Dummy') is a 'mold' or ‘model’ of your body.

It’s made from layers of duct tape that is used like a template to create the body of your fursuit so that it fits you perfectly! Click here for a tutorial on how to make one!

Important: when creating your DTD, please try to use short-to-medium-length strips of tape that criss-cross over each other in different directions. Using long strips of tape that all go in the same direction (such as wrapping horizontal circles of tape around your waist) can make the DTD’s structure weak and more likely to warp out of shape or even come apart, meaning the completed bodysuit may not fit you correctly. If I believe that your DTD is not of a decent quality/structure when I receive it, I may ask you to create and send another one to make sure your suit will fit you.

It is also important that you try to tape as close to your crotch area as you can. If the crotch of the DTD is too low down it may impair movement and cause wrinkles (of course, this doesn’t apply if you’re commissioning a suit that has a ‘dropped-crotch’ style on purpose!)

Please note that you only need to make a DTD if you are commissioning a fullsuit.

  • I'm not happy with my product - can I get a refund?

You can see my refunds and returns policy by clicking here for my full terms of service and navigating to the ‘refunds, repairs, and replacements’ section in the table of contents.

  • I want to cancel a commission/order - how do I do that?

You can see my cancellations policy by clicking here for my full terms of service, and then using the table of contents to navigate to the ‘refunds, repairs, and replacements’ section. Please always let me know as soon as possible if you want to cancel, since the further I am through the creation process, the smaller any potential refund I can give you will be due to working hours put in and material costs. Please note that if you choose to cancel a custom commission during construction, you consent to me altering the design of the character and (once complete) selling the suit as a premade.

  • Can/will you make 'X/Y/Z'?

You can see a list of items, features, and extras that I will and will not make here. You are always free to ask if you're unsure!

  • Do you accept payment plans?

I normally ask for a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price before starting a project (for material and labor costs), and then ask for the remaining payment to be made once it’s finished (before I ship it to you). If you would like to discuss paying in smaller instalments instead, please contact me at vaporwagstudios@outlook.com (or via the contact form on this website) to ask about it!

  • I'm under 18. Can I commission you?

I'm sorry, but I'm not able to accept orders from people under 18 years old at this time.

Thank you for your interest, though - it’s greatly appreciated!

  • Where do you ship from? Do you ship internationally?

Vaporwag Studios is based in the UK.

I can ship both domestically and internationally to almost any country - feel free to ask if you want to check whether I’ll ship to you! (Please note that shipping to countries outside the UK can potentially be expensive and may also include customs fees on top of shipping fees.)
